The Rustic Door and the Upstairs Bathroom

The new house pickings continue...I told you they would. The upstairs bathroom is the only bathroom upstairs and must be shared between the two bedrooms and the man-cave.
It's pretty large and will have a double sink, a tub and a stand up shower.
Good for the visiting grown ups and the grand sugars.
Wasn't sure what I wanted in the way of a vanity until I saw this in a magazine.

I love the open shelving and the gender neutral look of it. (It will be used by boys and girls).I was just going to let my builder build it but I wasn't sure he'd get it chippy enough. Enter sweet Stella.
She is one half of The Rustic Door, a business she and her husband own that builds and refinishes wood furniture.
Stella's husband J.D. is gonna build me this

Isn't it perfect? Can't you see it with the vessel sinks on it and all the white towels stacked under it? And a sweet stool in front of it so my grand baby can reach the sink to brush his teeth?
Like the pic(I have no idea where that photo came from) only no marble. I'm on a budget.
Picture this

and some of this

Not sure what to put on the shower floor.Hmmm.

Before I go meet Stella and J.D.

Are they not the cutest? And they have 4 of the cutest littles ever!
And look at all the cool stuff they make and/or refinish.

So pretty!

I'm in love with this minty color.

Oh. You see that planked wall in the background? That's at their cute as pie cottage and they did that. Uh huh. And they can come and do it for you if you want. Yeah.
they do business on Facebook here and Instagram here.

It Thursday so it must be TOHOT!

You're being very thoughtful in decorating the upstairs bathroom, Lisa, and it's going to be so pretty for your guests.
I also checked out the Tucker Hill home and yes, it's so pretty! My daughter and I toured the Parade of Homes that was held there several years ago.
Thanks for sharing your bathroom decorating ideas with us and the cute couple that'll be making your vanity!

I am intrigued, it is going to look amazing! I want to go buy some lumber and copy it to make myself a much needed potting bench. Now I am inspired!

Have a great day!

I love, love, love your plan. The inspiration photo with your tiles and backsplash will look awesome. I love the open shelves and will make the room look even bigger. Lucky you to know just who to build it. And yes, they are such a cute couple! Love their work too.
Have a great weekend……..

Wow, Lisa! This could easily be my dream bathroom! You've nailed it as far as a bath everyone can be comfortable in. You might remember we are redoing our entire lakehouse. I have the same floor tile planned for the powder room although it has some subtle pastel (beach!) colors. And I'm having the walls planked horizontally 2/3 up. My kitchen will have subway tile again as the backsplash but I'm going to use darker grout like that in your photo.

I can't wait to hear about the progress! And thanks for you sweet visit! :)
