Do You Know What It Means To Miss New Orleans?

This past weekend I was in NOLA for a wedding of a dear friend of my daughter's from her Tulane days. The bride was lovely and NOLA divine! We've been to NOLA many times but this was the first time we did a vacation rental in Uptown. I wanted to share some of the quaint details of this charming home away from home
These gorgeous doorknobs were on every.single.door.
Glorious!

And these latches were on the side panels of the front door. They were actually working pieces that allowed the panels to swing open like mini doors.

Each detail was more lovely than the last. I was caught up I tell you!

The most adorable kitchen

Sweet decor all around.

Delightful art work

There really is something special about NOLA. I call it decrepit loveliness. Everything is old and a little shabby but oh so chic.
Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Today I'm hooking up with my dear friends over at TOHOT.

The knobs, the locks, the old wood all mixed with the current fabric on that chair - I love it! When you say Uptown does that mean in the French Quarter? Whatever it means it sounds wonderful to me. I bet you and your daughter loved every second.

Thank you for linking up at TOHOT sweet friend. :)

I love the eclectic mix of all the elements you shared, Lisa. I also took a peek at your master bedroom plans for your new home. What a fabulous bed, and such great bedding and I'm swooning over the chair slipcover. I'll bet you can't wait to move in and decorate!!

Hi Lisa, what a wonderful place to stay for inspiration. Love those door knobs too as I grew up with glass knobs like this in my childhood home.
The wood doors and the latches are simply charming. You two must have enjoyed a grand time in Uptown!! Have a great day and nice weekend ahead. xo

Good Morning Lisa!
Doesn't New Orleans just stir something inside a person, and when ever I am there I feel as though I have traveled so far away. The food, vibes, decorating all of it just engulfs a person with pure delight.
Thank you for sharing these charming details with us.
I sure hope you had a Beignet!

Thank you so much for sharing your sweet time and talents with Thoughts Of Home On Thursday!
