True Confessions

I can not multi-task. There. I said it.
Oh I can do it all just not all at once.
In the last month I've helped my parents move from their home of nearly 50 years into a new home. I myself moved from the rental into an extended stay hotel as the house building continues and I am helping my husband with mountains of paperwork as he retires from private practice.
Something had to give and unfortunately it was blogging. Luckily things have settled down a bit and the house is nearing completion(another month).
Here's what I've been doing!
On the new house front
The kitchen cabinets are in

and painted.

The wood floors have been laid.

Tiling in bathrooms complete.

Hardware has been ordered.

Adjustments made.
This

Not this.It was discontinued.

And to top it all off I've been working on two big showers!

Well enough about me. How are y'all doing? I looking forward to catching up with each and every one of you!

Fun, fun...I am using one of those tiles in a client's house right now. Last night I spend time designing kitchen cabinets. It is all in the details, and yours look wonderful. Enjoy husband's retirement!!

You guys are doing great, Lisa, and making SO much progress. You know, I think multi tasking is overrated. I've read studies where it's found people don't fully learn or absorb a task or process when their attention is divided. I'm very big on doing things like folding clothes while dinner cooks, or reading the newspaper during commercials on TV. But we really need to focus and enjoy all the moments in our lives. I think it actually keeps our blood pressure down!

I've thought of taking blog breaks every now and then but I'm afraid I'd get too comfortable!! But since I don't advertise or rely on my blog for income I have to stop feeling like I have some sort of deadline. If I want one, I can make one. Priorities!!!

I know you are so excited about your new home and I've loved following along in IG and your blog! :)

Hi Lisa, love your kitchen and all that is complete in your new home. I know you are very busy
but so exiting to be so near to moving in. I'm in the midst of two bathroom renos and I can relate a bit with you. However moving too takes it to another level.
Congrats to your hubby on his upcoming retirement. It will be an exciting time for you both. Best wishes to your parents on their new home.
Love the shower pretties you are designing. Have fun and a good weekend. xoxo
