Lighting

I will soon have to choose lighting for the new house and I thought I'd share a few of my selections.

At the front door

I think this is my first choice. Today. Ask me tomorrow and it could be totally different

This is also a consideration.

I know it's simple but it is a definite possibility. They are both from Lee Lighting.

I have definitely decided on these pendants over the island.

I'm going to do two large pendants versus three small.

I will be putting a small pendant over the sink. A sconce won't work in the space so I have to use pendant. I know. :-(

Some possibilities here are

Love this one! My #1 choice but would have to somehow turn that chrome into pewter. That would bother me. Anybody know how to do that?

Another great choice. A definite maybe.Again these are from Lee Lighting

You saw my powder bath choice.

In the back hallway where the laundry area, mudroom, powder room, dish closet I'm going to run 3-4 of these

down the hall instead of can lights. This fixture is from Amazon.

I am not going to do a chandelier in the dining area. The area is large with multiple ways to arrange furniture and I want to keep my options open. I think a fixture would force a permanent arrangement. I will have a chandelier over the extra long dining table(it seats 12) on the screened porch. That in effect will be my formal dining area.Have not chosen that yet.

In the master bathroom I will again have to have pendants over the vanity and I thought I would do simple pendants like this

this

or this

to go with a wowser chandie over the clawfoot tub like this.

The upstairs bathroom will sport a couple of these over the vanity.

This baby is from Parrot Uncle.

Ok. I'm done. Not really because I still have to pick an entryway light, porch lighting and ceiling fans. What do you think? I'm open to suggestions.

It's Thursday so I'm hanging out with my friends at TOHOT

I so enjoyed seeing all your lighting choices, Lisa, and then picturing them in your new home. Ooh la la, how I'm swooning over the chandelier that will hanging over your claw foot bathtub. It's so dreamy and romantic, and will add a pretty touch of elegance to your bathroom.

Lisa,
I wanted to say how much I enjoyed meeting you a little over a week ago. I think you slipped out before I was able to say goodbye.
So here I am now loving what you are choosing for your new dream home!
Looking forward to seeing you in just a few weeks for the Art/Craft retreat too!
Hugs,
Jemma

Lisa, I just love the direction you are going with all of this. You are so smart to leave your options wide open in the big room too. Just can't wait to see this!!

I am completely smitten with the chandeliers you picked for the bathroom. Good idea to make the dining area flexible. I remember at one house we used to push the table against the wall for buffet style parties and have to clip the light fixture up high. Not pretty.

Quite a contrast of the modern hanging ones to the chandelier candles! I like the powder bath immensely and the first one for the front door!

Fun, fun, fun. A very close friend of mine works for Lee Lighting and even designs some ceiling fans. I just selected one of these pendants for a clients island. Enjoy!!!

Hi Lisa, Love all the lightening ideas you are sharing here. I know what you choose will be stunning in your new home. The chandy with the crystal drops is similar to the one I have over our master Jacuzzi and sitting area.
Thanks for sharing your fun!! Have a great new week. xo
