The Powder Room

I wanted to share plans for the new powder room with you.
This is the dresser and mirror I'm using.

This pic was taken at The Company Antique Mall in McKinney where I found it.
Isn't it pretty?

Look at all the pretty detailing.

This is what sold me on it. This beautiful cherub garland.

The dresser is a child's dresser so it's short, only about 29-30 inches tall so I really need to use a vessel sink to bring it to a comfortable height but I don't want to cover up the garland. Doing something like this would solve that problem.

I'll position the sink and faucet on one end rather than center it. That way my sweet garland won't be covered up.
I also plan to use some wallpaper in this room. I'm thinking of running beadboard wainscoting at least 36" up the wall and the wallpaper would be above that.
Here are some contenders

This one is a Thibaut wall covering. I really like the sweet cottage feel of this one.

This is another pretty paper.Look at it in this bathroom by designer Melinda Hartwright.

Some other choices all by Schumacher

I believe I'll place two sconces on either side of the vanity. It's a small room.
Something like this.

Oh I must show you the door. That's the whole reason I was at Company. A sweet friend who has a booth there told me she had a door she thought I would like.

This pic is actually in her booth. It's the prettiest shade of green with the most lovely doorknob.I was instantly smitten!
Well there you go. What do ya'll think?

It's Thursday and I have a standing date with the gals at TOHOT!

Your powder room is going to be so lovely! I love everything you have picked for it! Blue and white is one of my favorite décor themes....not sure how you are going to choose which wallpaper to use. Love the idea of an old dresser vanity. They do that a lot on Fixer Upper! Can't wait to see it all done.

Oh my goodnes, I love the dresser that you found and am smitten with the cherub garland....swoon!!!! The blue and white is going to look beautiful. My favorite paper is the first one, with that cottage feel. The scones are dreamy and romantic. I can't wait to see the finished room (well, actually, your whole house!).

Hi Lisa, Fabulous!! I love the dresser for your powder room and the vision using the vessel sink. The cherub garland is such a special detail. It will be perfect and with the sconces on each side of the mirror, just charming. Love that door too. All your picks are simply awesome. I love the first wallpaper cottage design. Your home is going to be gorgeous when complete. Looking forward to the finish. Have fun! xo

Oh my stars and garters! That cherub dresser is divine. As for the wallpaper...there should only be one star of the show in a small space. So do you want your dresser or wallpaper to star? If you look at the Thibaut its shown with a simple sink. I adore the first wallpaper and some of the more simpler designs. Either way, it's going to be beautiful!!!

Sorry I just realized that the first paper was Thibaut. I meant the second paper. :)

Oh darn, you have to use a vessel sink? She said with extreme jealousy...
