My list (in no particular order).
A Serving Bar
This Pottery Barn beauty is da bomb but sooo not in the budget but you get the idea.
A Glider
A sentimental choice for me. I spent many happy hours sitting on my grandmothers glider on her front porch playing with my Barbies.
A Daybed/Swing
I probably will do a daybed because I have a discontinued Ikea daybed already.
Like this one.
I think I could spray paint it and make it super cute and comfy.
Rockers
Enough said
Dining Area
Because we need a place to sit and have dinner when you come for a visit.
Bird Cages
Because there are things your husband won't let you do in the house that you can get away with on the porch. Just saying.
Wicker
Sigh.BIG SIGH.
Rugs
Because it's all about outdoor living and nothing says living like a rug.
Haint Blue Ceilings
It's supposed to keep bugs and haints (my grandmother said, "Saints and Ain'ts")away. It's the south. That's how we roll.
It's Thursday so I'm partying with my peeps at TOHOT!

I love porches and the ones in the pictures are so wonderful.
I like the pastel colors.
Have a nice day
Good morning sweet friend. I love all of the ideas you've gathered.
In my dad's little town, Lockhart, there's a man who makes those bar carts based on the PB one you featured. He won't take orders...you just have to come on the right day. Isn't that neat? Maybe you or one of your carpenters could make it. :)
Happy Thoughts of Home on Thursday...and it really is a thought for you right now, isn't it?
I love porches in all shapes, colors, and sizes!
I cannot think of a better way to spend a Southern day than sitting in a rocker on one of these!
Thank you so much for sharing your dream porches with us At Thoughts Of Home On Thursday.

Well, when your porches are completed, I would love to spend an afternoon on them!! When I was in Charleston last week, I made a point to look for haint blue ceilings!! I recently saw a pic of a porch with 6 bird cages, all sprayed white - it was so sweet. I hope your porches bring you lots of comfort!
Hi Lisa, I so agree on all the porch must haves. I had to leave behind my glider in our last move. So miss it and never found another to replace it. Someday!! My son built a PB knock off like that serving bar for me once Christmas, but I am using it for my potting bench. It is amazing.
All the dream porches you feature are amazing. I know yours is going to be perfect. Nothing better then sitting on the porch enjoying the day or having dinner with family and friends. Southern perfection!!
Have a nice day. xo
I think one of the most wonderful things a house can have is a large porch. These were just beautiful!
Oh I sat on my grandparent's green glider as well! :)
Someday I will have an actual porch. :) Such lovely ideas. Thank you for sharing at TOHOT. I also loved those darling invitations you shared.
Have a very Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Hi Lisa! Oh, how exciting to plan for your porch. I liked one of each, please! :) Thank you so much for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I adore porches! Our previous house had a nice one, this house only has a deck. It's just not the same.
I like all the ideas you have for decorating your porch!
I am not a fan of gliders but the husband loves them and we have one on our front porch. I love wicker but my two comfy wicker chairs have not survived our strong heat here and it's time to pitch them and replace and I just can't find anything I like as well. Sigh. My fav is the birdcage pic.
OH! Lots to love in these wonderful photos! So much inspiration!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and for your kind comment!
There is nothing better than a prettily arranged porch. I love your inspiration choices!
Thank you for sharing this with us at Thoughts of Home on Thursday. We are so glad you are here.
These are absolutely great ideas and I had to Pin a few. Working on my front porch and deck. Good luck to you! :)

Oh I would love a front porch. With a swing on it. And wicker chairs. And a little table with a small lamp on it. :-))))
Gentle Spring hugs,
Tessa
I would definitely take any one of these porch settings...we must have the same taste. It's great that you will have two, the screened in porch would be great with a small dining table, sort of al fresco eating now and then, and a daybed to nap on without getting mosquito bites. Oh, the possibilities! I have a big front porch at the lakehouse and I've never really done more than added 2 iron chairs and settee, cushions and a rug. The wisteria I planted going up to the balcony overhead has engulfed it and you can imagine all the creepy crawlers ready to attack! I wonder why I'm even in the country at all!
Can't wait to see your new house, Lisa. Are you building?
Thanks for your visits, I thought I was following but I signed up by email anyway. Happy Weekend!

I would love to have any one of these...and I also remember sitting on my grandma's glider too. Wishing I had one now! But I really love the one with the pink rug and cushions. So I'm on a hunt for a pink rug.
I love sitting out on the porch on a warm spring night...summers are usually to hot until sundown. I would love to have the one with the the green day bed and awesome green column sitting in the corner with a plant!
I ♥♥♥ the PB bar!
Visiting from Thoughts of Home.
Have a great weekend, Lisa.
Your porch is going to be SO charming. Looking forward to seeing it come together. (I'll bring the pasta salad.)
