A Garden Wedding Part 2

A few weeks ago I shared some snippets of a wedding I'd designed for the sweetest couple ever. Today I thought I'd share a bit more with you and tell you about their beautiful love story.

They were high school sweethearts.Their first date was the homecoming dance when they were sophomores. They've been together ever since.

She was the valedictorian and he the salutatorian of their high school.

They went off to different universities but saw each other on breaks and summers. Their commitment to each other remained strong.
The became engaged after graduation and entered medical school together.

This adorable little flower girl's daddy was the ring bearer at the bride's parents' wedding. How precious is that?

The groom and his beautiful mother.

Ready to walk down the aisle!

At last!!!

On the Christmas break from medical school the couple snuck away with some friends for a ski trip.
The car carrying the girls, in which the bride was a passenger was involved in a serious car accident. She was careflighted to the nearest trauma center. Miraculously she sustained no life threatening injuries.
The reception celebrated not only their love but their miracle.

Can you guess where the groom went to undergraduate school? The bride is a Texas Longhorn.

This dresser and the vanity belonged to the bride's grandmother who was too ill to attend the ceremony. She passed away not too long after the wedding. The pieces now hold a place of honor in the couple's home.

They dined, they danced, and favors were given as they left for their honeymoon in a cloud of bubbles and well wishes!

What a lovely tale of love!! All of the accessories are so unique. Looks like a lovely day!! You asked what I purchased at the Barn Sale - well, I overspent!! Quite a few gifts for my daughters and upcoming weddings, a few hostess gifts, for me: a stationary box, floor mat, lampshade, bowls, a cosmetic bag that I turned into a purse, more knobs for my kitchen cupboards, and a few odds and ends!! It is always a fun, but overwhelming, event!!
