My Son The Lawyer

Sunday May 11th, my oldest son completed his studies at William and Mary Law School and graduated with a Juris Doctorate degree. I am reminded by said son that he is not a lawyer until he passes the bar.;)


The graduation was held at The Lake Matoaka Amphitheatre


Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia was the commencement speaker.


It was a great Mother's Day!

Of course while I was in Williamsburg I got to do a little sight seeing. Virginia is a most poetically beautiful state and Williamsburg is absolutely gorgeous.

Happy Mother's Day

Thrifty Fifty

Recently a dear friend and neighbor turned fifty and her sweet husband enlisted us to help him plan a surprise party for her.
She's a glitzy gold kinda gal so we decorated the dining room table with glittered up gold spray painted wine bottles and tissue paper flowers!




We stayed on budget and she loved her party! The covert party planning was great fun but sharing a milestone birthday with a friend was priceless!
