Spiritual Sundays

singing birds

If we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.
1 John 1:7

Commentary: God's cleansing from the power of sin is conditional-we must walk in the light. He is that light. His light comes into our souls with revelation from heaven. It is the divine light we receive by being joined to the Lord as a branch to the vine, letting His life become our life. We cannot, in ourselves, overcome the power of sin anymore than we could cleanse away the stain of committed sins. But there is provision for both in Christ.

Lord, help me stay in the light. Thanks for the post as this is more than relevant for us today. Satan comes as an angel of light. In these last days, even the very elect will be deceived. God help us all. God bless you, Dr. Bobbi

letting go and letting HIs Light shine in and through me...that's the hunger and yearning in my heart. Sometimes though...so hard to do. Your posts always simple but sooo inspiring.

The "world" has so many people reaching for their own light, a spot light on themselves. I pray for myself and others that we search God's light, the only true light.

Well said. He is the light and we must walk in his light if we are to be forgiven.
Blessings,
Charlotte
